Wellies & Wonderful Food Weekend

Where does all that wonderful food come from?

In 2008 you will only have one opportunity to partake in our wellies and wonderfull food tour.

Commencing on Tuesday 30th September over 4 days with the aid of local guides and experts, you will go "behind the scenes" to discover first hand just how those special foods are produced.

Take an absolutely fascinating low tide walk to the oyster and mussel beds and discover why Jersey is breeding ground for so many species of fish and shellfish.

With our local guide take in some history about our beautiful Central Market and visit Coopers Coffee roasters to discover how a coffee bean ( that looks like a piece of gravel) ends up as your delicious Cappuccino.

Discover how Turbot are bred and see lots of other local fish up close in  tanks, and try your hand at digging your own Jersey Royal Potatoes. There is still time to take in a couple of cliff walks and of course some retail therapy and each evening we will be turning those ingredients into a delicious dinner.

( If you are not a “fishy person” don’t worry we cater for all tastes )

We can arrange travel (ferry or plane) or arrange your own travel on the net.
